TRAINING INFORMATION
The Lead Worker Refresher is an Approved CT DPH training. Therefore, is also an accredited EPA Training which satisfies OSHA requirements.

The training is an overview of the following but not limited to definition of what is lead, where is the material found, health effects for lead exposure, how to prepare the work area, safe and healthy requirements to protect the workers, safety work practices, waste preparation and disposal, criteria to approve a lead abatement, paperwork requirements and any lead industry related news.

The student must pass the final exam with a minimum 70% grade. The student will receive a certification for Lead Abatement Refresher Training at the end of the training as long as student passes the final exam, submits all required paperwork and full payment is received.

The refresher training is required annually unless mandated by Connecticut Department of Public Health. If any student goes past the refresher training certificate expiration date by one day, the student cannot work. Any student who has not taken a refresher training for 2 years or more requires the student to take the initial training again. 

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS 

Each student must register online and pay in advance to reserve their seat. We accept cash, check and credit or debit cards. 

Each student must submit the following documents:

1. A copy of the Lead Worker Initial Training (32 Hrs.) Certificate
2. A copy of the last Lead Worker refresher (8 hrs.) Training Certificate
3. A copy of the CT DPH Lead Abatement Worker License
