ASBESTOS

EEC is accredited by the CT-DPH to offer Asbestos Worker and Supervisor Initial and Refresher trainings. The initial worker training consists of 32 hours, the initial asbestos supervisor of 40 hours and the refresher training of 8 hours, including breaks.

The initial training includes hands on training. The minimum score to pass the final exam is 70%. Initial or refresher trainings are valid for a year. To attend classes, the students must contact Earth Environmental Consultants and complete the training registration and pay 50% of training costs. Also, the students need to show proof of previous, initial, last refresher trainings, and copy of the CT- DPH certification/license.

LEAD

EEC is accredited by the CT DPH to offer Initial and Refresher Lead trainings for workers and supervisors. The minimum score to pass the final exams is 70%. EEC is also accredited by EPA to offer Renovation Repair and Painting Trainings (RRP). The training is valid for 5 years.

The minimum score to pass the final exam is 70%. Initial or Refresher training is valid for a year. To attend the class, the students must contact Earth Environmental Consultants to complete the training registration and pay 50% of training costs.

Also, the students need to show proof of previous initial, last refresher trainings, and copy of the CT- DPH certification/license, if applied.

EPA RENOVATION REPAIR AND PAINTING (RRP) TRAINING

RRP is an EPA Lead required training for every person who may perform renovation work in residential building built before 1978. Buildings built before 1978 may contain Lead Based Paint. Earth Environmental Consultants is an accredited EPA RRP training provider.

The training consists of 8 hours and it is valid for 5 years. It includes hands on training. The minimum score to pass the final exam is 70%. After successfully passes the RRP training, the student will receive a certification as certified renovator.

MOLD

Earth Environmental Consultants LLC offers Mold Inspector and Mold Remediation Supervisor Training. In a 16 hours Mold Inspector training, the students will learn the science behind mold growth and how to use that knowledge to perform high quality mold investigations. Also, they will learn the needed equipment to be used during the investigation. In a 24 hours, Mold Remediation Supervisor training, the students will learn how to perform a mold remediation, related safety and health factors, the mold remediation methods, work area preparation, dry, disinfect and sanitized technics. In addition, the waste disposal requirements, and record keeping. The minimum score to pass the final exam is 70%. After successfully passing of the Inspector or Supervisor trainings, the student will receive a certification as Mold Inspector or Mold Remediation Supervisor.

INDOOR AIR QUALITY (IAQ) TRAINING

Earth Environmental Consultants LLC offers a 8 hours Indoor Air Quality Awareness Training, and 3 days indoor air quality Inspector Training. These trainings cover the factors that affect the IAQ in a building. For the Inspector training, the students will learn how to perform an IAQ inspection, including visual inspection, testing, basic conditions for a good indoor air quality, and common indoor air contamination. The minimum score to pass the final exams is 70%. After successfully passing of the training, the student will receive a certification as IAQ Awareness Training certification or an IAQ Inspector certification.

OSHA 10 & OSHA 30

Earth Environmental Consultants Representative, Mr. Eduardo Meza is an authorized OSHA 10 and 30 hours training Provider. The 10 Hours Training must be done in two days. The hours does not include break times. The 30 hours training must be done in 4 days. After the training, earth Environmental will process the OSHA training card that will be receive during 6 weeks after the training card request.


HAZARDOURS WASTE AND EMERGENCY REPOND (HAZWOPER)

All employees working on site exposed to hazardous substances, health hazards, or safety hazards and their supervisors and management responsible for the site shall receive training, before they are permitted to engage in hazardous waste operations that could expose them to hazardous substances, safety, or health hazards, and they shall receive review training.

Types of Training: OSHA HAZWOPER training is based on the employees’ tasks and the level of hazardous waste possible exposure.

ASBESTOS ROOFING OSHA WORK CLASS II

Roofing employees that may be exposed to asbestos should receive 8 hours training. The training includes general information about asbestos, chemical and physical properties, asbestos health effect, contractor responsibilities, medical surveillance, asbestos abatement methods, and asbestos waste disposals.


RESPIRATOR TRAINING CERTIFICATION

Any employee that should use a respirator must receive training about respirators. The training includes different types of respirators, how to select the respirator, medical opinion, respirator seal evaluation, respirator maintenance, storage, and cleaning. The minimum score to pass the final exams is 70%. After successfully passing of the training, the student will receive a certification as Respirator Training Certification.

BUILDING WEATHERIZATION

Weatherization has increasingly become very important as the cost of home heating is rising. The US Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) was created within the US Department of Energy to help low-income families reduce consumption of energy.
The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy estimates that over 7 million homes have been weatherized, giving savings of electricity, fossil gas, and carbon dioxide emissions. The US Department of Energy estimates weatherization returns $2.69 for each dollar spent on the program, realized in energy and non-energy benefits. Families whose homes are weatherized are expected to save $350 on their first year’s utility bills.

The training includes Principles of Energy, Building Shell, air leaks, insulation, windows and doors, heating, lighting and appliances, cooling, and heating. The minimum score to pass the final exams is 70%. After successfully passing of the training, the student will receive a certification as Respirator Training Certification.
